Storage Success Stories

If there is one thing we have done a lot of this year…it is storage! We have a lot of stuff, and we don't want that stuff out in the open, from kid's toys to home office supplies, extra dishware and cleaning supplies, and everything in between.

We love adding shelving, built-ins and cabinets in as many places as possible (within the home's design).

We've rounded up some beneficial storage tips to take the stress out of organizing your space and make your home look its absolute best.

1. Keep a designated spot for keys, mail, and other frequently used items. A small basket or tray by the door can be a Catch-All for these things, so they don't end up getting lost in the shuffle.

2. Make use of vertical space! Hooks are your friend when it comes to hanging coats, umbrellas, bags, etc., off the floor and out of the way. Floating shelves are also great for displaying decor or storing books and knick-knacks.

3. Get creative with furniture placement. A coffee table with built-in drawers or an ottoman with hidden storage can be a lifesaver when it comes to keeping living areas tidy. Similarly, try using pretty baskets or bins to store TV remotes, blankets, or pillows that tend to take up space on couches and chairs.

4. Our favourite is adding custom-designed cabinetry and built-ins. Custom cabinetry adds excellent storage to your home, adding a fantastic look and style. Cabinetry can elevate your home's look and turn it from basic to exemplary.
